1.0 out of 5 stars Pitiful, November 5, 2012

This review is from: Asus Google Nexus 7 Travel Cover, Dark Grey (90-XB3TOKSL00070) (Personal Computers)
The only thing this cover has going for it is that it is the official Google cover. As a case it's pretty worthless and there are many others on the market that provide better protection and more useful features. It does nothing to help prop up the tablet for hands free viewing. There is no method to secure the cover in place, which has allowed stuff in my backpack to work it's way under the cover flap into direct contact with the screen. Luckily there was no damage. Finally, it's unforgivable that it does not include the magnets in the cover to make use of the Nexus 7's auto sleep/wake functionality.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, But..., November 26, 2012

Two problems. One: The buttons don't work!!! You have to press quite hard to get a response, and it doesn't have the physical feedback it should. Two: The cover doesn't always stay closed, so When I leave it on the table it gathers dust and things. Otherwise, it has good shock absorption and is comfortable to hold, but really only good for travel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nexus 7 Case Dark Gray, September 25, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Asus Google Nexus 7 Travel Cover, Dark Grey (90-XB3TOKSL00070) (Personal Computers)
Pros: Official case
Looks nice
Perfectly matched cutouts/ perfect fit/ molds to the tablet
Made out of TPU
Thin, light, and covers the screen
Cons: Price, it feels like a $2-$10 case
The edges are not perfectly smooth so it hurts a little when holding it in landscape after a while
Other thoughts: This will not work with the official dock accessories because it covers the pogo pins on the side.
Update March 11,2013
Had this case for a few months, getting to like it more and more
I do dislike the fact that there is no stand functionality but this will protect your nexus 7 from drops. I would still highly suggest a clear screen protector (not matte) just in case to protect from scratches (sad to say but I got a tiny scratch on my nexus 7 before I put a screen protector on, the 3-pack on amazon is pretty useful if you mess up a couple times)

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great with late 2012 Mac mini, November 3, 2012

After confirming the specs on Apple's support website, I ordered this RAM for my late 2012 Mac mini. Installation was a breeze--flip the mini over, and turn the bottom panel counterclockwise an inch, remove the panel to expose the RAM slots. Pop out the old RAM then snap in the new RAM. Replace the bottom cover and twist it clockwise back into place. It couldn't have been easier.

Considering that Apple wants $300 for 16 gigs of RAM (as opposed to nothing extra for 4 gigs), this is a great bargain.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, July 20, 2012

Corsair has always been one of my go-to's for memory, and so far they've never let me down, this product included. I just purchased a Lenovo ThinkPad T430. The machine defaults with 4GB of RAM, and in order to upgrade to 16GB from Lenovo was over $800, which is obviously a huge profit center for them. So I ordered it with the default 4GB of RAM, and then ordered this Corsair kit for $120. It's a great deal. This is full speed 1600mhz DDR3. Mine was a perfectly matched set, the serial numbers were 1 apart so you know they were made at the same time and share the same nuances that will allow them to work well in Dual Channel. I've run multiple memory tests and stress tests on the machine overall and had absolutely zero problems. Having 16GB on my new laptop is really quite astounding, paired with a Core i7 and I'm able to run virtual machines effortlessly with no concern for memory.

One little caveat for ThinkPad users, and this has absolutely nothing to do with the memory... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a MacBook Pro 15 Mid 2012, June 19, 2012

I bought this ram without any apple product reviews. I figure I had benefited from others' reviews so often that it was my turn to go first.

Installation was a breeze, but that is more due to Apple engineering than the ram. It has a speedy timing of 10-10-10-27 which is just a hair faster than the 11-11 4GB ram that came with the Mac.

Bottom Line: If you are looking for RAM to work with your MacBook Pro 2012, this one will do it for you. Enjoy your 16 GB multitasking.

4.0 out of 5 stars Its Hard To Dislike an iPhone, but, November 3, 2012

This review is from: Apple iPhone 5 16GB (Black) - Unlocked (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I've owned the iPhone 4,Samsung Galaxy S3, and have tried the HTC Evo and Samsung Note, and was weary to upgrade to the iPhone 5. Apple delivered, but some say they delivered to little and I agree.
The price is stupidly high and the larger screen size was not reason alone for me to upgrade, but Once I picked it up it fit perfectly in my hand and just felt right. Unlike my iPhone 4 which I though was a bit small (hence why I bought S3) this really gives the S3 a run for its money. Let me start by going over the design.

ϟDESIGNϟ
For all those upgrading from an old iPhone or an android, when you pick this up you will notice how incredibly light this phone is. Some say that this is a fault, and makes the phone feel cheap, but I don't feel that at all. Despite its lightness, It feels like it is built tough and is truly designed to last. The 4" screen was a great move by Apple, its not too big like the Note, but its not too small, like some say the iPhone 4... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars What do the iPhone 5 model numbers mean (A1428 / A1429)?, November 6, 2012
This review is from: Apple iPhone 5 16GB (Black) - Unlocked (Wireless Phone Accessory)
In deciding to go with blazing fast LTE capability in the iPhone 5, Apple was forced to release three different devices to meet compatibility with different LTE network standards worldwide.

The A1428 model iPhone 5 is the Canadian and US AT&T network GSM iPhone, including broad support for UMTS/HSPA+DC-HSDPA (frequencies 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz), GSM/EDGE (frequencies 850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz), and LTE bands 4 and 17.

The A1429 iPhone comes in two different flavors, one CDMA and one GSM. The GSM model is designed to support LTE in Asia (including Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea). This GSM iPhone will also work on LTE in Australia, Germany, and the UK on bands 1, 3, and 5.

The CDMA version of model A1429 works on Sprint's and Verizon's LTE networks in the US, along with the KDDI network in Japan on bands 1, 3, 5, 13, and 25. The CDMA version also supports GSM bands, making the CDMA iPhone 5 compatible with GSM networks. However, the CDMA... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great phone, still overpriced, February 2, 2013
By
Ryan B "Byrd" (Chicago, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Apple iPhone 5 16GB (Black) - Unlocked (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I had the iPhone 4 on Verizon for about two years and made the switch to the iPhone 5. It wasn't a drastic switch at all, it's the same phone through and through, but there are some nice improvements Apple and Verizon made.

The 4G LTE network is amazingly fast in comparison to the old 3G network. However, upgrading to the 5 forfeits your unlimited data. This is my biggest qualm, because now I'm always searching for WiFi so I don't exceed my 2 gigabytes a month. It hasn't been a huge problem, it's just annoying.

Second, the screen is bigger. I didn't think this would be a huge improvement but after using the 5 for a few months now and looking at someone's iPhone 4 screen, I can't believe I ever used it and didn't have an issue with the screen size. The screen has an incredible resolution and makes all pictures and apps look awesome.

The speed of the phone itself is a big improvement. All screens switch faster and everything feels like it's... Read more
